Highland County Chamber of Commerce announces Agriculture is Everyone's Business event for 2015, featuring 'Machinery Pete' Greg Peterson
On the heels of two successful years with guest speakers Orion Samuelson (2013) and Max Armstrong (2014), the Highland County Chamber of Commerce is proud to present the third annual "Ag is Everyone's Business" on Friday, Jan. 16, at The Patriot Center at Southern State Community College with guest speaker Greg Peterson, otherwise known as "Machinery Pete."
The event begins with breakfast at 8 a.m. provided by Ponderosa.
Tickets are $15 and can be purchased online at TheHighlandChamber.com or at The Highland County Chamber office, at 338 West Main Street, Hillsboro, inside the Scott House. A limited number of tickets are available, so guests are encouraged to buy their tickets as soon as possible.

"Machinery Pete" Greg Peterson has been researching and analyzing machinery auction prices since 1989. His database totals close to 500,000 auction sale prices on roughly 70 categories of equipment, making it the most comprehensive and complete of its kind. He authors regular columns for Farm Journal, Implement & Tractor and Top Producer magazines and blogs on AgWeb.
Also speaking at the event will be Ohio Director of Agriculture David Daniels.
Daniels was appointed Ohio Agriculture Director by Governor Kasich on Feb. 15, 2012. He served four terms in the Ohio House of Representatives, and was elected to the Ohio Senate in 2010 to serve the 17th Ohio Senate District. Prior to being elected to the Ohio General Assembly, he served four years on the Greenfield City Council and eight as mayor. He also served as a Highland County commissioner for six years.
"The Chamber is thrilled to be able to bring this event back to Highland County for a third year in a row," said Melissa Elmore, president of the Highland County Chamber.
"Agriculture plays a vital role in the Highland County economy and this event caters to those in the ag community both here in Highland County and the surrounding areas. This has grown to be the Chamber's largest event of the year and I am pleased to be able to present it again in 2015."
