Highland County Chamber announces inaugural STEEL Conference

The Highland County Chamber of Commerce’s inaugural STEEL Conference is scheduled for Tuesday, Oct. 22. The Chamber invites businesses to become sponsors as well as to participate in this new and exciting event that has been created to energize and strengthen Highland County’s business community.

STEEL stands for Strengthening Together Experienced and Emerging Leaders. Anticipated attendance for the half-day event is 350 people from the area who will leave charged up and ready to lead. The event will take place at the Patriot Center at Southern State Community College, located at 100 Hobart Drive in Hillsboro.

Tickets for the event are $100 and can be purchased by visiting the Chamber office at 129 North High Street in Hillsboro, calling (937) 393-1111, or can be purchased online at www.thehighlandchamber.com with an additional fee. Tickets will not be available on the day of the event. Seating for the event will be limited, so purchase your ticket early.

This year’s keynote speaker is Jordan Montgomery. Montgomery is a highly regarded performance coach and keynote speaker whose clients include business executives, sales organizations and entrepreneurs. From small-town Iowa to a dominant force in the performance coaching industry, Montgomery travels the country speaking and coaching executives at Fortune 500 companies, professional athletes and sales professionals.

In addition to his work speaking and coaching, Montgomery is an accomplished business leader who has managed top-performing sales teams in the financial services industry. Montgomery will be presenting: The Art of Encouragement. His message will be rooted in the idea of helping other people be seen, valued and understood.

Additionally, the event will be filled with ice breakers, networking time, a panel discussion featuring Highland County’s experienced and emerging leaders, and a happy hour event to continue the networking.
Doors will open at 11 a.m. The event will conclude at 4 p.m. with a happy hour at The Porch Carryout & Grill following the event.
