Highland County Board of Realtors hosts annual golf tournament at Hillsboro Elks

The Highland County Board of Realtors hosted their annual golf tournament on Friday, July 22 at the Hillsboro Elks Course.
In spite of a 75-minute rain delay, the golfers were able to get 18 holes played.
There were two divisions, with the Nutra-Green Lawn Care team of Greg Waggoner, Ernie Blankenship, John Holt and Matt Garman winning the A Division; and the First State Bank team of Doug Henry, David Carter, Randy Hull and Mike Barker winning the B Division.
The Auto Tech team of Bill Hilterbran, Mike Sharkey, Steve Newby and Mike Nartker placed second in the A Division.
NCB Bank's team of Rodney Donley, Bryan Smith, Steve Evans and Ritchie Butler placed second in the B Division.
Donald E. Fender Realtors, Inc. (an ERA Real Solutions Affiliate) placed third with Joe Bryan, Terry McConnaughey, Jeremy Raby and Junior Price teeing it up.
Rusty Fite, the Highland County Board of Realtors president and a Broker/Partner with Prudential Chambers-Fite Realty, thanked all the participants and sponsors.
Fite also thanked Brigette Waggoner of Classic Real Estate and her team on this year's golf committee.
Waggoner thanked NCB for providing lunch and Jerry Haag Motors of Hillsboro for sponsoring the "hole-in-one-car," a 2016 Chevy Malibu.

Proceeds from the tournament will be donated to:
• Harley, the Hillsboro Police Department's K-9 officer, handled by Officer Adam Day.
• Soles for Students, founded by Susan Davis Thompson of Preferred Midwest Title and Davis Law Office. Donations may be made to: Susan L. Davis, 107 Gov. Foraker Place, Hillsboro, Ohio 45133 or call (937) 393-4000 for information.

Officer Day was present at this year's golf outing and thanked the Board of Realtors, who have donated funds each of the last two year to help feed Harley.
