Hearing set for Sept. 8 for Fire Chief Bradley George

A hearing has been scheduled for 2 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 8 for Bradley George, chief of the Paint Creek Joint EMS and Fire District.
The hearing will be held at the Greenfield station at 640 N. Washington St. The hearing is open to the public.
George has been on paid leave for almost two months following action by the Paint Creek Joint EMS and Fire District board members.
George is an 18-year veteran firefighter.
The board has met in executive session since placing the chief on leave, but no announcements have been made regarding his status.

When reached Sept. 1 by The Highland County Press, George said he had no public comments at this time. He is being represented by Highland County Court, Madison Township Division, Judge Robert Judkins of Greenfield.
The Paint Creek district was formed in 2009, following the decision to abolish the former Greenfield Fire Department.
In the past five years, the district has expanded to include several townships in the county, the city of Hillsboro, and Buckskin Township in Ross County.
The district recently established a new fire station in the Rainsboro area near U.S. 50 and state Route 753.
