HCSO makes drug-related arrest in Paint Township

Highland County Sheriff Donnie Barrera reports that on July 16 in Paint Township a deputy sheriff made a vehicle stop in the Rocky Fork Lake area for an alleged traffic violation.

At the scene, the deputy found the driver to be Robert W. Sions, 58.

Upon further investigation, the deputy found that the driver had discarded what appeared to be heroin. The Highland County K-9 officer responded to the scene to assist.

According to Barrera, detectives were called to the scene. Search warrants were obtained with the assistance of the Highland County Prosecutor Anneka Collins.

An additional substance, believed to be heroin, and money were found at Sion's residence and inside of his vehicles.

The case is still under investigation and further charges are possible.
