HCSO arrests two on drug-related charges

Highland County Sheriff Donnie Barrera has reported that on March 5, 2016, at approximately 2:30 a.m., Highland County Sheriff’s Office Deputies investigated two vehicles parked partially on the roadway on Walnut Shade Road in Brushcreek Township.
After further investigation, deputies discovered an active methamphetamine lab, along with several chemicals and items used in the manufacturing of methamphetamine.
The Brushcreek Fire Department was called to the scene, along with detectives for the cleanup of the site.
Sheriff Barrera states that two male subjects were taken into custody at the time of the investigation: Ricky G. Burton, 45, of Lebanon, and Christopher Tolle, 27, of Peebles.
Both subjects have been charged with illegal possession of chemicals for the manufacture of drugs and are currently being held at the Highland County Justice Center with a $70,000 bond each. Both subjects are scheduled for hearings in Hillsboro Municipal Court on Monday, March 7.
This case is still being investigated by the Highland County Sheriff’s Office.
