The National Weather Service has issued a hazardous weather advisory for southwest Ohio.

The advisory is in effect from 1 a.m. Jan. 20 until 10 a.m. Jan. 22

Very cold wind chills as low as 15-below zero are expected for portions of southeast Indiana, northeast and northern Kentucky, and central, south central, and southwest Ohio.

The cold wind chills as low as 15-below zero could result in hypothermia if precautions are not taken. Very cold temperatures can lead to hypothermia with prolonged exposure.

Dress in layers including a hat, face mask, and gloves if you must go outside. Keep pets indoors as much as possible.

Additionally, scattered to numerous snow showers are expected today. While accumulations from afternoon and evening snow showers should generally be a half inch or less, some snow squalls will be possible, especially this afternoon and early evening. Snow squalls can produce rapid changes in visibility and quick bursts of accumulation, creating hazardous travel conditions.
