Hayley McConnaughey earns doctor of physical therapy degree

This past weekend, Hayley R. McConnaughey of Lynchburg, received her doctor of physical therapy from Marshall University. On Friday evening, the members of the 2024 class received their hoods at a ceremony with friends and family in attendance. Following Friday's events, they were presented with their doctorate degrees from Marshall University President Brad D. Smith.

McConnaughey received her bachelor's degree in exercise science in 2021 and completed her graduate degree in April 2024. She is a 2017 graduate of Lynchburg-Clay High School, the daughter of Chad and Becky McConnaughey of Lynchburg, and the granddaughter of Kenny and Jana Wells also of Lynchburg, Her paternal grandparents were the late Steve and Beverly McConnaughey of Buford.

McConnaughey has accepted a position in Charleston, W.Va. with Generations Physical Therapy. 

"I am very excited to put all of the knowledge I have accumulated in college to use and assist people with their health and well-being," McConnaughey said.
