Greenfield woman killed in SR 28 crash

A Greenfield woman was killed Monday evening after her car struck a tractor on state Route 28 in Madison Township. 

According to the Ohio State Highway Patrol, at approximately 3:18 p.m., a 1997 Honda Accord, driven by Gabrielle K. Hadley, 35, of Greenfield was traveling west on state Route 28 near mile post 12, with an 8-year-old passenger. A John Deere tractor, driven by Wesley C. Anderson, 23, of Sabina, was traveling east on state Route 28. According to the OSHP, Hadley drove left of center and struck the left rear dual tire of the tractor. 

Hadley was transported to the Adena Greenfield Area Medical Center, where she was pronounced dead. Her passenger was also transported to AGAMC, and was later transported to Nationwide Children's Medical Center in Columbus. Her condition was not immediately available. 

Anderson was not injured in the incident. 

According to the OSHP, the child was wearing a seatbelt, but Hadley was not. 

The incident remains under investigation by the OSHP.
