Greenfield Medieval Faire Oct. 23

The Greenfield Neighborhood Watch will be staging the Greenfield Medieval Faire on Oct. 23. The Faire will look to bring alive once again the days of knights, armor, shields, castles, swords, Robin Hood, prisoners in stocks, catapults though costumed actors and displays. The Faire will attempt to be historically authentic and recreate events in medieval England between the years 1066 and 1611.
The Faire is being held for the purpose of some lively entertainment to the community, while giving it a chance to become better acquainted with the Greenfield Neighborhood Watch. The Greenfield Neighborhood watch hopes the Faire will become an event to be repeated regularly and will grow larger each time it is held. Admittance to the event will be free to the public.
Ever want to be a medieval villager, monk, court jester, ministerial, musician, archer, puppeteer, squire, executioner or similar character? Volunteers are currently being sought to be costumed staff for the event. Workers will need to put together an authentic medieval costume and attend event training and planning sessions. Assistance will be given for those needing to locate items to complete a costume. Those interested should make immediate contact to begin the process.
