Governor-elect Kasich appoints Mohr as director of ODR&C

Governor-elect John Kasich has appointed Gary Mohr as Director of the Ohio Department of Rehabilitations and Corrections (ODR&C).
Gary Mohr has more than 36 years of experience and leadership in both the public and private corrections systems. Having served twice previously as a Deputy Director for the ODR&C under two different administrations, Mohr has a deep institutional understanding of the Department. He has experience inside Ohio's corrections facilities as well, serving as Warden in Chillicothe Correctional Institution, Ross Correctional Institution, and the Corrections Reception Center. Mohr also served as the Superintendent of the Ohio Department of Youth Services and as Director of the Ohio Governor's Office of Criminal Justice, where he chaired the investigation and wrote the report following the 1993 Southern Ohio Correctional Facility riot in Lucasville.
Most recently, Mohr has provided leadership to the Corrections Corporation of America, which designs, builds, manages and operates federal, state and local correctional facilities across the country.
