Gov. Kasich appoints Brad Hess to State Auctioneers Commission

Bradley J. Hess of Sardinia (Highland County) has been appointed to the State Auctioneers Commission for a term beginning March 28, 2016 and ending October 9, 2018, it was announced by Ohio Gov. John R. Kasich this week.
Hess is a salesman and auctioneer with Donald E. Fender, Inc. Realtors and Hess Auction Co. L.L.C., specializing in all aspects of real estate and personal property sales.
He has served as the Champion Bid Caller for the State of Ohio and has been a member of the Ohio Association of Realtors President’s Sales Club multiple times, including in 2015.
Hess also serves as a member of the Lynchburg-Clay Local Schools Board of Education.

Governor Kasich also announced the following appointments:
• Chief Christopher P. Viland of Cuyahoga County has been appointed to the Ohio Organized Crime Investigations Commission for a term beginning March 28, 2016 and ending September 3, 2016.
• Tammy L. Eallonardo of Chillicothe (Ross Co.) has been appointed to the State Emergency Response Commission for a term beginning March 25, 2016 and ending January 13, 2018.
• Joseph M. Gingo of Akron (Summit Co.) has been appointed to the University of Akron Board of Trustees for a term beginning March 25, 2016 and ending July 1, 2023.
• William A. Scala of Hudson (Summit Co.) has been appointed to the University of Akron Board of Trustees for a term beginning March 25, 2016 and ending July 1, 2024.
• Dr. Robert E. McDonald, Jr. of Steubenville (Jefferson Co.) has been appointed to represent District 8 on the State Board of Education. He will assume the seat on March 25, 2016, and must run in November 2016 to retain the seat for the unexpired term ending December 31, 2018. McDonald is replacing Robert F. Hagan, who resigned.
• Shawn E. Nelson of Columbus (Franklin Co.) has been appointed to the Public Benefits Advisory Board for a term beginning March 25, 2016 and ending June 30, 2016.
