Georgetown Post investigating fatal motorcycle crash

The Georgetown Post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol is investigating a single-vehicle fatal motorcycle crash that occurred on May 27 at approximately 1 p.m. on Oak Grove Road near Gardner Road in Lewis Township, Brown County.

Preliminary investigation revealed David G. Crum, 65, of Georgetown operated a 2011 Harley Davidson Dyna Street Bob 103 southbound on Oak Grove Road. The motorcycle was also occupied by his passenger, Mary F. Crum, 62, of Georgetown. The motorcycle traveled off the right side of the roadway in a curve and overturned.

Both occupant were transported from the scene by UC Air Care to UC Medical Center with life-threatening injuries.

Neither occupant was wearing a helmet at the time of the crash.

On June 1, Mary F. Crum succumbed to injuries sustained from the crash and was pronounced deceased.

The crash remains under investigation by the Georgetown Post.
