Pictured in front of Webster School on April 18, 2016 are Carolyn Goins, Virginia Harewood, Eleanor Cumberland, Teresa Williams and Joyce Kitrell.

Sixty years ago, the parents of these women were litigating to have their children admitted to Webster School.

This week, they watched and reminisced as the building to which they were ultimately admitted, no longer in use as a school, is being taken down.

Among other onlookers was a former teacher in the building who had also been a student at Webster in the mid-1950s.
