Ferno wins EMSWorld Innovation Award

[[In-content Ad]]Ferno’s new iN∫X™ is the first integrated, X-frame design that allows operators to load and unload patients without lifting, navigate obstacles with the touch of a button and see and be seen in dark environments. The system does not require a separate loading system in the ambulance and has been designed to meet new ambulance safety requirements.

According to research, more than half of all pre-hospital provider back injuries result from lifting patients, and nearly 25 percent of all EMS workers experience career-ending back injuries within the first four years of their career.  
 
“The iN∫X takes away all the lifting for us which is going to be a big game changer not only for us, but for any department that chooses to go with this product,” said Chad Hamilton, Assistant Fire Chief of Paint Creek Joint EMS/Fire District, who applied grant funding from the Ohio Bureau of Worker’s Compensation toward the purchase of the iN∫X.
