Farm Bureau, HSWCD host inaugural Highland County Farm Tour

On Sept. 13, the first annual Highland County Farm Tour took place.

The farm tour was a joint effort between Highland County Farm Bureau and Highland Soil and Water Conservation District. More than 85 people took part in the event.

The tour consisted of stops at the following locations; J Boeckmann Farms, Millstone Creek Farm, Donald Roberts Farm, and Jeff Boike Farms.

At the end of the tour a meal prepared by High on the Hog and Shoelace Catering that was sponsored by Amy Boeckmann of Premier Crop Insurance and J Boeckmann Excavating was enjoyed by all.

The evening concluded with a fun fellowship of networking and square dancing with the Rabbit Hash String Band sponsored by the Highland County Farm Bureau Young Ag Professionals.

The Highland County Farm Bureau and Highland Soil and Water Conservation District and the Young Ag Professionals would like to thank everyone that attended and helped with the tour.
