Fairfield FFA Chapter members attend Ag Power CDE

On Feb. 5, Fairfield FFA Chapter members Spencer Hurless and Drew Benson represented the chapter at District 9 Ag Power Diagnostics CDE. 

This event acts as a realistic assessment designed to evaluate students' knowledge in both recognizing and repairing malfunctions found within agricultural and industrial power equipment, using skills identical to those required by agricultural and industrial technicians in the workforce. 

Spencer and Drew demonstrated their technical abilities and problem-solving skills while competing against other districts. These skills were strengthened with the help of Wes Willey and others at Hillsboro Ag Pro who helped our team practice. 

Congratulations to both members for their hard work and thank you to the team at Hillsboro Ag Pro for helping them practice and prepare for this competition.

Fairfield FFA Chapter members earn Gold Officer Books

As announced Jan. 31, Fairfield FFA Chapter Secretary Evelyn Roehm, Treasurer Emelia Roehm and Reporter Kaylee Hurless-Miller have each earned a Gold Rating for their work and dedication to the chapter. 

Through their commitment to maintaining accurate records in proper formats, managing chapter finances responsibly, and effectively communicating chapter activities, these officers have all demonstrated excellence in their respective roles. Their leadership and attention to detail have served the chapter well throughout the past year, playing an important role in the chapter's success throughout the year. 

Evelyn, Emelia, and Kaylee will be recognized on stage at this year's Ohio FFA State Convention because of their achievements.
