EAST Ambulance donates 500 toys to Operation Christmas Child
EAST Ambulance employees presented local Operation Christmas Child volunteers with a donation of 500 toys on Monday evening at the Hillsboro First United Methodist Church.
South Central Ohio Area Coordinators Helen and Ed Hiestand told The Highland County Press that a shoebox packing party is scheduled for Sept. 19 at 10 a.m. at the church. The community is invited to attend and pack shoeboxes for children across the world.
Helen Hiestand said that volunteers will be packing 1,000 shoeboxes at the party, with half of them including the brightly colored plush caterpillars generously donated by EAST Ambulance.
Donations are still being accepted for shoebox gifts and may be taken or mailed to the church, located at 133 East Walnut Street in Hillsboro.
“As a company, we encourage people to open their hearts and donate to Operation Christmas Child if they can,” EAST Ambulance Vice President of Sales and Marketing Jodi Jackson said. “There is no donation too small or too big.”
