Daniels sworn in as state senator for the 17th Ohio Senate District

Daniels Sworn in as state senator for the 17th Ohio Senate District

David Daniels (R- Greenfield) was sworn in Jan. 3 as the state senator for the 17th Ohio Senate District, which includes Clinton, Fayette, Gallia, Highland, Jackson, Pike, Ross, Vinton and portions of Lawrence and Pickaway counties.  

A legislative veteran, Daniels served as a representative in the Ohio House for eight years and as a Highland County commissioner for six years prior to being elected to the Ohio Senate. He also served four years on Greenfield City Council and eight as mayor of Greenfield.

“As a member of the Ohio House, I worked to lower taxes, reduce unnecessary red tape and regulation on small businesses, and promote economic development,” Senator Daniels said. “I look forward to continuing that work in the Ohio Senate. There are a lot of difficult choices facing the General Assembly in the next two years and I will do all I can to make sure the voices of the 17th Senate district are heard and that their needs are addressed.”
