Council hears readings of ordinances, resolutions

(HCP) - No resolutions were passed at the monthly Hillsboro City Council Meeting Monday evening. With just four members of council present, along with council president Dick Donley, the meeting consisted of second and first readings of ordinances and resolutions. Having second readings were: Accepting the amounts and rates as determined by the budget commission ad authorizing the necessary tax levies and certifying them to the county auditor. To approve contracting with Professional Service Industries, Inc., (PSI). To approve contracting with B W Cooper Services, LLC. Authorizing the safety and service director to invite bids to construct water-sewer maintenance service building. A resolution to adopt policy on the deposit of public moneys had a first reading. No reports were read from any committees. A member from the community spoke to present members of council regarding parking uptown. [[In-content Ad]]
