Congressman Wenstrup visiting Israel

Congressman Brad Wenstrup (R-OH) is traveling to Israel this week to better assess some of America’s pressing foreign policy challenges.
In September, Congress is set to consider a possible deal regarding Iran’s nuclear capabilities, a deal Wenstrup opposes. The educational trip will provide a breadth of perspectives surrounding the ongoing instability in the region.

“At such a perilous time, when Israel is threatened by ISIL and Iran, it is critical to stand with our ally. I welcome this opportunity to learn about the situation first-hand,” Wenstrup, a member of the Armed Services and Intelligence Committees, said before departing.
Meetings and sessions will include conversations with Israeli and Palestinian officials, military leaders and peace negotiators, as well as visits around the country.
