The Highland County Continuum of Care (HCCoC) will be hosting the third annual Community Resource Fair on Wednesday, June 8 from 2-4 p.m. at the Highland County Senior Citizens Center, 185, Muntz Street, Hillsboro.
Attendees can visit with many different area agencies to learn about valuable community resources available in Highland County.
The 2016 Community Resource Fair will connect over 30 social services agencies, nonprofits, and businesses to the community members they serve.
This year’s event, organized by Amy Roades, the secretary of the HCCoC, will include prize raffles, a complementary lunch, and kids craft area. This year’s event was made possible through funds received by NCB Corporate Giving.
“The Resource Fair is a great way for us to reach families in the community who can really benefit from our program. Amy always does a great job of keeping things light and fun so that folks attend year after year,” said Becky Barnes of the Highland County Toys for Tots program.

About the Highland County Continuum of Care
The Highland County Continuum of Care was adopted in January 2012. The basis for the HCCoC is to bring together government, non-profit, and faith-based organizations to organize and deliver housing and services for homeless or at-risk individuals and families. We strive to facilitate the movement from homelessness to permanent housing and maximize self-sufficiency. Members meet regularly to plan, organize, network, share resources, define gaps in services, and to fill those gaps to better serve the at-risk population.
