Columbus murder suspect apprehended in Chillicothe
The Chillicothe Police Department announced that on Thursday, June 27 at approximately 2:49 p.m. in the 800 block of Adams Avenue, the Chillicothe Police Department assisted the Columbus Police Department and the U.S. Marshals Service to successfully locate and apprehend Caleb Johnson, 26, of Columbus.
Johnson was wanted on charges of aggravated murder and felonious assault related to a shooting incident in Columbus.
The Chillicothe Police Department commends the exceptional work of its SWAT team, Crisis Negotiator Team and Detective Division for their successful and incident-free apprehension of Johnson. The department’s partnerships with the Columbus Police Department, the U.S. Marshals Service and other agencies are crucial in their shared commitment to maintaining public safety in Chillicothe.
