CMH Diabetes Services has a new home

By
-
CMH Regional Health System Diabetes Services is moving from the CMH facility at 761 S. Nelson Ave., back to Clinton Memorial Hospital. The service line moved off the hospital campus in 1998, spending two years at the Clinton County YMCA and the last nine years at Nelson Avenue.
The new home for CMH Diabetes Services will be on the second floor of the hospital, in the space formerly used for Cardiac Rehabilitation. Diabetes Services is moving the week of February 8 and will be open for business in their new space Thursday, February 11.
"We are looking forward to moving back to the hospital." says Dawn Lyon, coordinator for Diabetes Services. "The space is perfect for our patients and it helps us gain efficiencies with staffing for both inpatient and outpatient."
Lyon continues, "There is exercise equipment already in the space, from the Cardiac Rehab program, so patients will be able to utilize it in the near future. This is a big plus for the programs' patients, because exercise is a major component of managing diabetes."
