The choice is Ryan

Well, at least he's from a Big Ten state.
After weeks of speculation, much of which centered around Ohio Sen. Rob Portman, Republican presidential candidate Mitt Romney has announced that Congressman Paul Ryan of Wisconsin will be his 2012 running mate.
Congressman Paul Ryan is the U.S. representative for Wisconsin's 1st Congressional District, serving since 1999.
He is considered among the party's most influential voices on economic policy.
Third District Congressman Mike Turner, R-Centerville, released the following upon Gov. Mitt Romney selecting Congressman Paul Ryan as his vice presidential running mate: “The choice for Ohioans could not be clearer this fall – the selection of Paul Ryan shows that we are serious about putting this country back on the path to prosperity.
"Unfortunately, the president has failed to offer a plan to put Ohioans back to work or to end the largest federal deficits since World War II. Gov. Romney has a plan, and our country is in desperate need of leadership.”
Ohio Gov. John Kasich agrees that Ryan will be a great vp choice.
"Paul Ryan's a great pick," Ohio Gov. John Kasich said. "We've always had a great relationship and I've always respected his understanding of how the Washington budget mess is holding back job creation.
"He's got a keen intellect and the kind of courage to think big on solutions that America needs from its leaders. That he's a graduate of one of Ohio's great universities – Miami University – doesn't hurt, either. I applaud Gov. Romney on his decision and look forward to campaigning with them in Ohio."
