Chief Bradley George remains on leave, pending investigation

Bradley George, chief of the Paint Creek Joint EMS and Fire District, remains on paid leave, pending the results of an internal investigation, according to a Paint Creek District board member.

The board member told The Highland County Press another board meeting is scheduled for Tuesday, Aug. 11, and no other information is available at this time.

George is an 18-year veteran firefighter. He has been on leave for more than a month.

George has had no comment on the situation.

The board has met in executive session since placing the chief on leave, but no announcements have been made regarding his status.

The Paint Creek district was formed in 2009, following the decision to abolish the former Greenfield Fire Department.

In the past five years, the district has expanded to include several townships in the county, the city of Hillsboro, and Buckskin Township in Ross County.

The district recently established a new fire station in the Rainsboro area near U.S. 50 and state Route 753.
