Chamber of Commerce holds successful golf outing

The 24th annual Highland County Chamber of Commerce Golf Outing took place on Friday, Sept. 12 at Buckeye Hills Country Club in Greenfield.

Over 140 businessmen and women came out to enjoy of a day of golf, food, drink and networking away from the office. The outing was one of the most successful Chamber events in recent years.

The event was sponsored by Hunter Consulting Company, Weastec Inc. and West Main Urgent Care. Highlights of the event include a breakfast sponsored by South Central Power, meals provided by KFC and Ponderosa, the Heartland of Hillsboro Beer Carts and the Laurels Lounge, which featured bottomless Bloody Marys and shrimp.

"I want to thank everyone who donated, sponsored,or participated in this event in any way," Chamber President Melissa Elmore said. "The Chamber is fortunate to have such supportive membership. This event, along with many others, would be impossible without members who are actively engaged in both the Chamber and Highland County community."
