Burnett sworn in as Hillsboro police officer

Hillsboro Mayor Drew Hastings swore in Zach Burnett as a permanent patrolman for the Hillsboro Police Department Wednesday morning in the mayor’s office.

Burnett had been sworn in as a provisional officer for the Hillsboro Police Department in August.

Hillsboro Police Chief Todd Whited and Captain Jeff Murphy were present for the swearing-in.

Burnett’s wife, Nicole, and their children Jaxon and Alexis also attended the ceremony.
