Brunner to speak at Highland County Democratic Party dinner

The Highland County Democratic Party and the Democratic Women’s Club will hold a joint carry-in dinner on Tuesday, May 3 at 6:30 p.m. in the basement meeting room of the Highland County Administration building.
County chair Dinah Phillips said that she is pleased and honored to announce the guest speaker will be the Hon. Jennifer Brunner, who serves as one of eight state appeals court judges of the 10th District Court of Appeals in Franklin County.

Brunner previously served in elected office as a Common Pleas Court judge. She served with distinction as Ohio Secretary of State from 2007-11. In 2008, she received the bipartisan John F. Kennedy Profile in Courage Award for her public service, a prestigious honor. Judge Brunner has also assisted foreign governments with rule of law and self-governance matters.
Local county commissioner candidate Tara Matthews Campbell will also be present to discuss her campaign, as well as Valerie Gerlach, 4th District Court of Appeals candidate.
The Democratic Party will furnish meat, drinks and table service. Please bring a covered dish and be ready to enjoy an enlightening evening of politics, good food and a lively auction to conclude the evening.
