Press Release-

In the wake of accusations of poor patient care and mismanagement at Cincinnati VA Medical Center (VAMC), U.S. Sen. Sherrod Brown (D-OH) announced Tuesday that he has secured a commitment that U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) Secretary Robert McDonald will visit the Cincinnati VAMC to examine the issues firsthand.

Brown questioned McDonald at a hearing before the Senate Veterans’ Affairs Committee Tuesday and pressed for a thorough investigation. Brown also secured a public commitment from McDonald that whistleblowers will be protected from retaliatory action.

We must demand accountability and take action to ensure that veterans in Cincinnati get the quality care they've earned.”
