Brown-131 re-opens following bridge replacement

A bridge replacement project on state Route 131 in Brown County has been completed, and lane restrictions have been lifted.
Contractors for the Ohio Department of Transportation have replaced the deck of a bridge located at the 3.28-mile marker on S.R. 131, approximately two miles east of U.S. 50 and just west of U.S. 68.
Complete General Construction, which was awarded a contract in the amount of $798,494 to replace the structure, began work in early June, closing the route to traffic. All major construction has been completed, and the route was opened to traffic shortly after noon today, September 2.
Crews will have minor finishing work to completed; however, there should be little to no impact to motorists.
