Bright Local invites all to April 23 ground-breaking ceremony for Remote/Workforce Development Center

Bright Local Schools is proud to announce the ground-breaking ceremony for our Remote/Workforce Development Center, and we warmly invite all community stakeholders, Wildcats – past, present and future – to join us in celebrating this exciting milestone.
This transformative project represents our district’s commitment to expanding opportunities for students and supporting workforce development across our region.
The new center will serve as a hub for innovation, collaboration and community engagement, bringing valuable resources to students and adults alike.
Please join us on Wednesday, April 23 at Whiteoak High School as we officially kick off this incredible journey:
Ground-breaking Ceremony Agenda
• Location: Whiteoak High School, Mowrystown;
• Noon-12:15 p.m.: Light refreshments & conversation;
• 12:30 p.m.: Opening remarks by Superintendent Jason Iles;
• 12:35 p.m.: Star-Spangled Banner & Pledge performed by the Whiteoak High School Band and Flag Team;
• 12:40 p.m.: Introduction of partners & future plans – A1 Buildings, Bright Local School Board;
• 12:45 p.m.: Vision for the future – Dr. Denise Reading, CEO, and Hilarie Ames, Community Outreach Partner;
• 12:50 p.m.: Remarks by Julie Bolender, Highland County Economic Development Director;
• 12:55 p.m.: Transition to outdoor ceremony – Mr. JP Gauche, High School Principal; and
• 1 p.m.: Groundbreaking and photo opportunity.
We are filled with appreciation for the collaboration and support that made this project possible, and we can’t wait to celebrate this next chapter with the entire Wildcat community.
