The Highland County Press Hillsboro City Schools Superintendent Art Reiber annnounced his resignation, effective July 31, 2010, at Wednesday night's school board meeting. "It is with mixed emotions that I submit my resignation," Reiber said. "I want to thank the Board of Education for the opportunity to be your superintendent these last five years. It is very difficult to say goodbye to a job that you truly enjoy. I will really miss representing Hillsboro City Schools." The Board of Education is in negotiations with Hillsboro High School Prinicpal Rick Earley as a possible successor to Reiber. The Highland County Press will update this story later today.
