Board of Realtors hosts RPAC meeting, fundraiser

The Highland County Board of Realtors held its annual RPAC (Realtors Political Action Committee) meeting, local fund-raising auction and luncheon on Thursday, Aug. 25 at the Highland County YMCA.

Board President Rusty Fite welcomed Realtors and board affiliates, and thanked Kelly Kimble and Ruth Robbins, who collected donated items from board members and local businesses for the auction.

Ohio Association of Realtors RPAC Coordinator and past president of the OAR Barbara Lach made her annual visit to the board. Lach thanked the board for their support.

The Board of Realtors also contributed to Soles for Students through proceeds from this year’s Highland County Board of Realtors’ annual golf tournament on July 22 at the Hillsboro Elks Course.

Soles for Students works with the local schools to provide children of low-income, working families with shoes. In 2015, Soles for Students spent $10,400 on shoes for local children and since 2012, has raised $31,000 toward the purchase of shoes.
