Board of Elections to change absentee voting hours

Due to House Bill 224 that becomes effective Oct. 27, there will be no absentee voting on the Saturday (Nov. 5) or Monday (Nov. 7) before the election.

The Board of Elections office will have extended hours the Friday before the election (Nov. 4) till 6 p.m. The hours of the Highland County Board of Elections are as followed: Monday, Wednesday, Thursday - 8:30 a.m. - 5 p.m.; Tuesday, 8:30 a.m. - 9 p.m.; Friday, Oct. 28, 8:30 a.m. - 3:30 p.m.; and Friday, Nov. 4, 8:30 a.m. - 6 p.m.
