Bishop serves as honorary captain at Great American Ball Park

Betty Bishop represented Highland County as the honorary captain of the Cincinnati Reds' game Saturday versus the Washington Nationals at "Highland County Day" at Great American Ball Park.

Bishop, the former Hillsboro mayor and Greenfield city manager, was accompanied on the field by Highland County Chamber of Commerce board member David Fauber prior to the Reds' 1-0 victory.


[[In-content Ad]]Before the game, Mrs. Bishop said she felt "humbled" to be selected as the honorary captain.

Bishop was escorted by Reds bench coach Jay Bell to deliver the Reds' starting lineup card to home plate. She was also announced to the crowd of 32,999 fans and shown on the Great American Ball Park sideboard.
