BCI Crime Scene Unit conducts investigation in Greenfield

Two Ohio Bureau of Criminal Identification and Investigation Crime Scene Unit vehicles were in Greenfield Monday, Nov. 2.

Greenfield Police Chief Tim Hester told The Highland County Press, “We do have BCI evidence technicians in town. They are assisting in following up with an ongoing case; however, there is no situation happening right now and no risk to the public. I can't comment any further on the matter.”

The BCI units were located outside a Jefferson Street building near the Post Office.

In addition, the Greenfield Police department also was conducting a routine sweep of the school for drugs with its K-9 units on Monday.

The GPD was assisted with K-9 units from the Hillsboro Police Department and the Ross County Sheriff’s Office, Chief Hester said.
