Batavia OSHP Post investigating fatal motorcycle crash 

GOSHEN TOWNSHIP – The Batavia Post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol is investigating a fatal traffic crash involving a motorcycle. The crash occurred on Sept. 20 at approximately 1:57 p.m. on Smith Road in Goshen Township, Clermont County. 

The preliminary investigation revealed a 2003 Honda CBR600F motorcycle, operated by a juvenile, was traveling northbound on Smith Road when it traveled off of the right side of the roadway, struck a culvert, and then overturned.      

The juvenile sustained serious injuries and was transported by EMS to the Bethesda North Hospital. He was later transferred to the University of Cincinnati Medical Center, where he succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced deceased. He was wearing a helmet when the crash occurred.  

The Ohio State Highway Patrol was assisted at the scene by the Goshen Township Police Department and Goshen Township Fire and EMS.

The crash remains under investigation.
