Bainbridge mobile home fire ruled as arson

A Thursday morning mobile home fire in Bainbridge has been ruled arson, according to the Fire Marshal's Office of the State of Ohio.
The Chillicothe Gazette reported Friday that, "Shane Cartmill, with the state fire marshal, said today that the 4:51 a.m. Thursday fire at 104 1/2 Hill Dr. was started on the outside of the mobile home and spread inward. Two men were home when the fire broke out and were alerted by neighbors that the mobile home was on fire and escaped unharmed. One neighbor indicated to authorities that they saw someone running away from the structure prior to seeing the fire."
The structure sustained minor damage.
"A Blue Ribbon Arson Award of up to $5,000 is being offered to anyone who has information that leads to identifying the person or persons responsible for setting the fire. Anyone with information should call the fire marshal's office at (800) 589-2728 or the Ross County Sheriff's Office at 773-1185," according to the Gazette.
The incident remains under investigation.
