Area teens qualify for National High School Rodeo finals in Wyoming

Three local teens will be traveling to Gillette, Wyo. to compete at the National High School Rodeo Finals, the world's largest rodeo.
Callie Oglesby will be competing in the pole-bending event, and Sydney Corzatt and Makenna Corzatt will be both be competing in the goat-tying event. In order for the youths to qualify for National Finals, they must finish in their events as one of the top four competitors in the state of Ohio. Each athlete must be in good standing at an Ohio high school.
An estimated 1,500 contestants from 41 states, five Canadian provinces, and Australia will vie for national titles, assorted prizes, and thousands of dollars in college scholarships. The National High School Rodeo will run from July 18 through July 24.
The youths would like to thank the following local sponsors: Merchants National Bank, Master Feed Mill, Lerch's Barnlot LTD, JK Farm, Jim and Cheryl Lyle, and Jeff and Jane McCoy.
