American Legion Post 129 honors Andrea and John Holt

Members of the Raymond R. Stout American Legion Post 129 of Hillsboro presented the Honorary Legionnaire Award to Andrea Holt Tuesday, Dec. 9 at the Hillsboro Ponderosa Restaurant.
Post 129 Legion members Joe Thompson and Bill Siddons made the presentation to Andrea and her husband, John Holt, owners of the restaurant.

"We wanted to recognize them for all of their hard work and community service on behalf of veterans and the American Legion," Mr. Thompson said.
Members of Post 129 and their guests also had a luncheon meeting Tuesday afternoon at the Hillsboro Ponderosa.
Andrea Holt thanked the veterans and their spouses for their services and sacrifices for the nation.
The Hillsboro Ponderosa annually provides free meals to veterans on Veterans Day and hosts many events for area service organizations.
Earlier this year, the Disabled American Veterans Lloyd C. Ludwick Chapter 123 of Hillsboro also recognized the Holts for their service.
