Amazing Race of Highland County to hold 2014 organizational meeting May 28

The Amazing Race of Highland County will have an organizational meeting for interested non-profit organizations at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday, May 28 at Bagshaw Enterprises, 8414 S.R. 124 east, Hillsboro.
This year, the second annual Amazing Race will be on Saturday, Aug. 9.
The Amazing Race of Highland County is a two-person team running (or run/walk) event. It is a cross-country race, approximately 7-8 kilometers long, but along the race route will include 20 roadblocks or challenges.
Each team must complete a task or challenge before continuing. These roadblocks are designed to test, and reward (or penalize) your memory, quick thinking, sporting and/or gaming skills.
Race organizers need approximately 20 non-profit organizations in order to make this race work.
They will make a donation of $500 to your organization if you will staff a roadblock (challenge) during the race.
If interested, please have a representative from your organization at the meeting to be considered for a spot in this year’s race.
Last year, the race raised $11,500 for charity. Additional sponsors are needed.
