Air Force Reserve Airman 1st Class Nicole L. Patterson has graduated from basic military training at Joint Base San Antonio-Lackland, San Antonio, Texas.

Airmen who complete basic training earn four credits toward an associate in applied science degree through the Community College of the Air Force.

Patterson is the daughter of Pamela A. and step-daughter of Kelly M. Scott of Hillsboro and granddaughter of Florence M. Hertenstein of Lynchburg.

She is a 2010 graduate of Lynchburg-Clay High School. She earned an associate degree in 2014 from Southern State Community College, Hillsboro.
