Adena Greenfield Medical Center’s laboratory has received accreditation from the College of American Pathologists (CAP).

Adena Greenfield’s Laboratory Services plays an integral role in our patients' diagnosis and recovery.

“We strive to offer the best and most accurate laboratory services for our patients,” said Byron D. Smith, M.D., facility director. “Receiving accreditation, based on our quality of service, processes and skilled staff, means our patients can rest assured that their lab testing has been handled properly and completely, for the most accurate results.”

CAP accreditation guarantees patients are receiving the highest standard of care for their laboratory testing needs.

During the accreditation process, inspectors examine the laboratory’s records and quality control of procedures for the preceding two years. They also examine laboratory staff qualifications, equipment, facilities, safety program and record, and overall lab management.

Adena Greenfield’s Lab performs a broad range of diagnostic testing services, upon physician order.
