The AGMC (Adena Greenfield Medical Center) Administrator Kathy Dye, assisted by Heather Wright and Pam Bristley, recently held a banquet honoring the AGMC Volunteers.
The banquet was held at the New Directions building. Afterward, a tour of the facility and also the Greenfield Christian Center was given.
After dinner, Dye introduced Ron Coffey, chair of the AGMC Hospital Board, who thanked the volunteers for their time and the purchasing of equipment for the hospital.
Each volunteer present was presented with a certificate, pin for hours or years of volunteer service, and a gift. A drawing for door prizes was held.
The volunteers work four-hour shifts during a five-day week at the hospital. Some work only the Gift Shop, some work only the desk, greeting patients and making sure they get the help they need. Some volunteers work in both places.
There are also some fundraising events during the year, such as raffles, flower sales, Dine and Donate, bake sales and the annual Christmas Open House.
