Adena Greenfield funds life-saving equipment for school

Representatives of Adena Greenfield Medical Center has presented Greenfield Exempted Village School District Superintendent Joe Wills and school nurse Katie Pryor with a check for $1,400 to purchase an automated external defibrillator (AED) unit.

An AED is a portable device that sends an electric shock to the heart, to try to restore a normal rhythm in the event of a sudden cardiac arrest. In many cases, the use of an AED in a time of crisis can save a person’s life.
