GAMC Hosts 26th Annual Rehab Picnic
The 26th Annual Adena Greenfield Medical Center (AGMC) Rehabilitation Picnic was held on Saturday, September 18 at the Amvets Building near Rocky Fork Lake in Hillsboro.  The weather was perfect for a picnic, sunny with a light breeze that made the afternoon enjoyable for all that attended.  Approximately 100 former patients, family members, friends and rehab staff attended the event, which continues to be a wonderful opportunity for staff and former patients to reunite for a day of fun.
“Game Show Time” was this year's picnic theme with the stage displayed in a wide array of game show themed decorations with patients greeted to the event by staff dressed in costumes. Guests and staff members filled the afternoon participating in fun T.V. game show challenges.  Let’s Make a Deal was a crowd favorite with three large boxes on stage that allowed the guests to choose door numbers to receive prizes.  Guests also competed for gifts by completing challenges to “Win It in a Minute”.
“We love hosting this event.” stated Katharine Koogler, Rehab Social Worker. “It is so nice to keep in touch with our patients; I’m not sure who has more fun, the patients or our staff.”
The GAMC Inpatient Rehabilitation Unit provides a number of therapies including physical, occupational, speech and recreational.  For more information about GAMC Rehabilitation and the services provided, call (937) 981-9237.
