2 arrested in shooting near Youngstown State campus that left 1 dead

One person is dead and at least 11 were wounded - including six students - at a shooting at a Fraternity house near the campus of Youngstown State University, according to a report from MSNBC. 

 

CNN is reporting that two individuals have been arrested in connection with the incident that resulted during a party early Sunday.

 

Police are not releasing the names of the 19- and 22-year-old men who were arrested Sunday, with assistance from the FBI, according to Youngstown Police Chief Jimmy Hughes.

 

 The Mahoning Count coroner's office said the dead student was s 25-year-old Jamail E. Johnson, and that he had been shot once in the head, and sustained multiple shots to his legs and hips. 

 

 Eight of the 11 victims have been released from the hospital, MSNBC reported. 

 

 YSU President Cynthia Anderson said it was, a sad day for the YSU family," as she met with students and their families at St. Elizabeth Health Center Sunday morning.
