Neal Stivers, 34, of Middletown, passed away Tuesday, Oct. 31, 2023.

He was born July 18, 1989 in Hillsboro, the son of Karen Nave-Kretzer of Middletown.

Neal attended the Journey Community Church in Miamisburg. He loved watching his favorite YouTuber, Cleetus McFarland and enjoyed spending time with his family, attending sporting events such as Reds games and Xavier games. Neal always had a positive outlook on life no matter what he was facing. He loved life.

Besides his mother, Neal is survived by his sister, Allison Stivers of Middletown; maternal grandmother, Paulette Blakley of Hillsboro; paternal grandmother, Pam Lawrence of Illinois; uncle, Mark (Sandy) Nave of Hillsboro; aunts, Susan (Jamie) Hauke of Sardinia, Krista Reed of Hillsboro, Jerri (Jim) Meeks of Cincinnati and Nikki Lowe of Greenfield; several great-aunts and great-uncles; and a host of friends.

Neal was preceded in death by maternal grandfather, Richard Nave; paternal grandfathers, Howard Stivers and Jerry Lowe; maternal grandmother, Rheta Lowe; paternal grandmother, Marty Stivers; and uncle, Scott Lowe.

Funeral services will be Saturday, Nov. 4, 2023 at 1 p.m. at the Thompson Funeral Home. Burial will follow at the Roberts Cemetery in Mowrystown.

Friends may call Saturday from 11 a.m. until time of services at the Thompson Funeral Home.

Donations can be made to the Muscular Dystrophy Association.
