Nancy I. Garman

Nancy I. Garman, 82, of the Belfast community, passed away Monday, Aug. 28, 2023.

She was born June 5, 1941 in Belfast, the daughter of the late Kenneth L. and Florence M. (Elliott) Milburn.

Nancy and her husband, Robert, were married Nov. 16, 1963 and have resided on their farm since 1971. She was an active member of the Belfast United Methodist Church. Nancy received her LPN and worked at Crestwood Ridge Nursing & Rehab Center and The Laurels of Hillsboro for many years until her retirement.

Besides her husband, she is survived by two daughters, Melanie (Larry) Anderson of Hillsboro and Jeanette (Ron) Crawford of Hillsboro; five grandchildren, Justin Anderson, Jacob (Caitlin) Anderson, Sarah (Bobby) Bell, Megan (Aaron) Apgar and Rachel (LT) Tyler; two step-grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and one brother, Donnie (Dee) Milburn of Chillicothe.

Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Charles Milburn.

Services will be held Thursday, Aug. 31, 2023 at 11 a.m. at Thompson Funeral Home in Hillsboro.

Pastor John Waugh will officiate, with burial following at the Prospect Cemetery in Hillsboro.

Friends may call Wednesday, Aug. 30, 2023 from 4-7 p.m. at Thompson Funeral Home.

Memorial donation can be made to Belfast United Methodist Church or American Diabetes Association.
